''GIVING THAT WARMS THE HEART and SOUL''

A little more about Independence Academy: Independence Academy runs multiple programs for high school students who are negatively impacted by substance use. Our programs are jointly funded by the Department of Public Health, local school districts and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Independence Academy is committed to providing cutting-edge programming that is responsive to the emerging needs of teenagers in the areas of substance use, social/emotional, and mental health needs. We believe that students who are using substances or engaged in some other maladaptive behavior(s) at a problematic level, deserve an opportunity to develop the mindset, awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to be happy and healthy.  At IA we define recovery as, "a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential.  for information go to:   iarecoveryhs.org
